What is the Workforce Training Fund Program?

The Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) helps address business productivity and competitiveness by providing resources to Massachusetts businesses to fund training for current and newly hired employees. In order for the Massachusetts economy to prosper, our businesses need access to a pipeline of skilled workers so they can stay competitive and constinue to grow. While available to businesses of all sizes, the WTFP focuses on small to medium-sized businesses that would not be able invest in improving employee skills without the assistance of the Fund. Below are the programs to which businesses may apply:

The Express Program provides employers fast, simple access to grant-funded training, helping businesses in Massachusetts respond to emerging needs. Learn more HERE

The General Program Training Grants, allows businesses to apply for a grant up to $200,000. Employers, employer organizations, labor organizations, training providers, and a consortia of such entities are encouraged to apply. Learn more HERE

The General Program ESOL Bridge Grant is designed to provide English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to continue through the 1 year waiting period between the General Program grants. Learn more HERE
